Cardboard Gun Finished Peice by impaler07 Cardboard Gun Finished Peice by impaler07
Here is the finished display of the cardboard guns which I have made. On the wall posted behind the guns is the actual 2 dimensional cardboard cut-outs which made the guns. You can't see the cardboard cut-out for the Barrett 50 Cal because the photo wasn't taken well. On the left hand side that is me, posing while wearing a gun sash that was knitted for me as a present :D
This was my final project in my advanced sculpture class. This took me a month to complete.

and I was thinking of makeing some cartoony cardboard guns, but im not sure if the police or any type of security would let me walk around freely with a "Box Gun" that has no moving parts and doesn't even look real.

GREAT! Now All that's missing is a cardboard IMI TAR-21 and RPD!
Then, and only then you will truly have a COD MW2 cardboard arsenal!
You've got the time, know-how, and resources, work your magic boy, AMAZE ME!

Hey what layout maker did you use? If you didn't use one, I would like to buy all of them. I am willing to pay a negotiable $10. To contact me, email maplerain@rocketmail.com.

no layout maker. just measure and cut and glue. Simple but tedious process but it works like a charm.

Still, may I buy yours? You seem to have experience, and I can not make those types. I can only make them like pwnisher, I could raise the price to $50, I need them for a film.

no, unfortunately i never got around to it. There are certain tricks i learned and developed, such as seamless edges and making cardboard into round shapes. The most important thing is having the right tools:

- a nice sharp box cutter (utility knife)
- good crisp quality cardboard - get it from a cardboard supplier. (this is key, without good virgin cardboard you will not get good results)
- regular white school glue.
- working space with a large table you can cut into.

Remember, cardboard consists of 3 different layers: Paper-Corrugation-Paper.
Each layer can be separated from the other, and that is how you can truly manipulate cardboard. Completely remove one layer of paper and you can now bend and roll the cardboard into a seamless tube shape.
